Weekly Affirmation, March 26th

My life is abundant and I trust whatever the universe has in store for me.

Abundance can be such a triggering word honestly. It can almost feel like toxic positivity; forcing a happy spin on a situation or life in general when it doesn’t always appear to be that way. Abundance, for me, is choosing to see all the gifts in your life despite the bullshit that lies around it. Abundance is the pet that greets you when you get home, the birds that sing when the sun rises, the sun setting, or the cool or warm breeze that perfectly compliments the day. Abundance is having a home, friends or family that love you. Abundance is having a body that moves and does what it can for you and for your health.

Abundance can be measured by material wealth and items; but it should be measured by the small gifts that we find all throughout our day. Abundance is sourced from gratitude- not the other way around. In finding gratitude and opening our eyes to the abundance around us, we develop trust for the paths the universe takes us on, because regardless of the path; we can find abundance and gratitude.

This week’s meditation

Find yourself a comfortable position in your safe space. Close your eyes and begin to breathe slowly and with more intention.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Find yourself on a path that has multiple forks in the road. What do you see around you?

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Before you select a path, what can you find abundant about that space? Is it wildflowers? Butterflies? Sunshine or the sea? Where do you feel that abundance in your own body? Sit with that feeling for a few minutes.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Try walking down a few different paths- what do you notice about each one of these? How are the landscapes different and what can you find abundant about each one?

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Slowly come back to this moment. What is your body feeling? What are the abundant gifts in your life you can focus on, today?
